the answer to your question is he is her love interest and has super powers, so as the lead's love interest, he is going to get a lot of screen time and his own stories

I agree she should have remained single for a while, but this is the CW. She is very beautiful and its too much of a temptation to have romantic stories. (plus, they are cheap and need no CGI). I kind of think the perfect solution would have her paired up with the Flash or even MXy from a few episodes ago. That way

You make good points. My main issue is he is a third banana power wise and does not really lend anything new to the show other than love interest. Plus, I think his parents showing up should be the logical end point for his arc. He goes back to Daxam and helps his people after learning to be a better person with

yeah, said many times before, but he was miscast in this role and the role was poorly defined and he had no romantic chemistry with Kara. It dragged down season 1 and was one of the main reasons CBS was going to cancel the show if they did not move it to the CW. You are basically arguing they should have kept that

Everyone on here, and on every supergirl review site, thinks that is the logical conclusion to his storyline..except the writers. I am pretty sure he is a series regular for season 3 unfortunately. I caution you do not get your hopes up

I thought she was terrible and why she gets a pass when everyone is ripping Kevin Sorbo is beyond me. She was really phoning it in

good point.I disagreed with that theory too. I just think focusing on relationships save money and gives them low hanging fruit to write stories about. All CW DC shows are pretty lazy and focusing on Mon El keeps them from having to use their brains to write good stories

I disagree. They set up the "he is really the prince of Daxam" and this would cause a problem between him and Kara all SEASON. She hated that planet and said the prince was the worst, and hated they had slaves. So she finds out he is the prince..that was set up to be a big deal and she dumped him..so far so good

I am very surprised more people are not more upset that they resolved the Mon El/ Kara break up so suddenly and cavalierly

Yeah, he is basically James except he is the new love interest. He brings nothing to the show at all. He is a third banana hero wise, has no real skills and is a bartender.

c'mon, that plot was pretty terrible..you cannot just forgive everything because you ship the characters

yes 100%. The CW is probably the most progressive channel out there, and for people to say they killed off James/Kara over race, on this network, is just insane. They had no chemistry and he was like her dad. She plays the role much younger and he plays it cooler and older. He is not a "goofy, fun, earnest"

yeah, that is a hard thing to hand wave away, and they basically did

He is too "adult" in the show. Kara plays the role much more naively, with young goofy optimism and earnestly (most of the other cast does too)..his character is not "goofy earnest", its serious. It was a bad fit and also explained their lack of chemistry. It was like he was her dad, not a BF interest

yeah, he is miscast. I have read others say he was good in other things, but this role makes him look wooden

This episode was terrible, but with Legion on and so good, I cannot watch mediocre stuff like this anymore. The last straw is realizing this is not a character show with actual character development, its a plot driven show where the plots are terrible. Kara taking Mon El back after one day was just a big sign

This actually is very weird. The question really is why would they leave them there? Its hard to believe they just forgot..lol I would think it would open them up to a huge lawsuit by the contestants. Maybe it was some publicity ploy or a way to reboot interest with a phony scandal?

They need to cut out the political references for at least a while..its groan inducing and not even clever

I personally think when Kara asked Mon El "if he liked, liked" her took the cake. I "know" the actress is 28 and maybe she is playing Kara a few years younger..but that was almost middle school stuff.

you do know pointing out grammar errors in a freakin comment section officially makes you an douche bag? Congrats..douche
