Was being sincere actually.

I think Jon (or at least some intimation of Jon) is def still with us.

Your speculation is as valid as mine, but, respectfully, I think you're being a little naive here.

Because I presume it's a dornish ship, and the captain was privy to Doran's/Ellaria's poisoning plan. Maybe they could have made it clearer that it was a Dornish ship with Dornish men, rather than Kings Landing/Lannister men and ship, but it seems pretty straight forward to me.

I think it was all a ruse. Just like they use poison and kill unsuspectingly, Doran played a nice guy, but I don't think that was his real intention

Ellaria's motives are Doran's motives, and dude was playing coy with Jaime. Doran is about to wage war on Lannisters. No reason to play nice anymore. I think HBO is smart enough not to drag us through the bore of Dorne for this to be their only lasting significance.

BC if she didn't save him before, there'd've less likelihood of a friendly boat ride back to Kings Landing. So, initially poisoned him when they expected to kidnap Myrcella, then when the realized their plan failed, they made nice, then when they repositioned themselves to kill Myrcella (and as I speculate kidnap

Yeah, I agree. Suicide by (failed) siege, I guess.

Is the consensus that Benjen Stark reference was solely to set up Jon's stabbing, or do people think he'll be back in some capacity in the seasons to come?

The Jon Snow cliffhanger feels underwhelming. Either it's obvious that he's getting revived by Mel, or they trolled us hard on the R+L=J easter eggs and it will be very frustrating.

There's no way that Dornish ship is headed to Kings Landing, right? S6E01 opens with the Dornish sailors/troops binding Jaime and Bronn (or Bronn falling victim to poisoning via the Bad Pu$$y ear biting) and Trystane announcing they are heading to Mereen, right?

The Stannis storyline ending was very contrived IMO.

Who was that guy on the Nights Watch that was fighting in the kitchen? ..The one that through the scalding water and used the pot as a weapon? I didn't recognize him, and they seemed to highlight his fighting and focus on him a bit more than I would've expected for an extra.

And what in the 7 hells is 'shipping Jon/Ygritte? And why did you use the term so many times? And why when you attempted to clarify the term did you have to link to some homosexual fanfic? C'mon Todd, keep your bedtime stories to yourself.

All you guys criticizing the show for not showing stannis yet are prematurely judging the show. At this point, all you have is your expectations and I think the show has proven they deserve the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this. At least wait until they bring Stannis back before you say they did it wrong.

Todd, normally I don't mind you letting your book biases effect your judgment of the show, but I think you're really off the mark here. As a supremely spoiled, non-reader, I found this episode to be fantastic.

Why is it bad? Is there some negative consequence to the host body when they're in avatar mode?

Where have Dany's dragons been hiding? CGI budget just getting pinched a bit, or is there absence part of a storyline?

So, how did she get past Ser Bluto (or whatever his name was)?

Dany's supporting cast contains 3 dragons. That trumps all.
