I have two differences in opinion to the article.

It’s almost too ahead of it’s time. The market and its competition can’t recognize it because they don’t speak that language. Think Saab in the 80's “the most intelligent car ever made” with its 2.0 turbo when no one was doing that. Then 30 years later, everyone is turbocharging everything. Saab made the car of today

This made me really want to drive an i8. Loved the article, this is still the most beautiful and striking car I’ve seen.

He’s older now and not quite as fast as his prime but he used that patented Phelps turn (really he’s the best here) to get under everyone elses wave and quickly jolt ahead in one move. Technically that turn was the best move in the race, reguardless of times the others swam.

It’s really difficult to not need to breathe—even with training. You’re very very tired at this point in the race and you want to stay fast and not comming up for air you risk losing strength after you surface if you don’t get oxygen. The thing is they are all professionals and they are all doing it actually and

Jason,

My friend would floor his automatic jetta and would loudly proclaim, “this is turbo mode” when it down shifted.... And all the guys were like “woooahhh”........

Jason,

I’ve always wanted to be in marketing for an automotive firm. What career advice do you have for someone whose dream job is yours. Where do I start?
