Woah, you lost me when you replaced land with sky.
Woah, you lost me when you replaced land with sky.
I only got through 2 :(
I’ve played that with cards once bc my man let me. You have to compare numbers tho and sometimes pictures so it’s just too hard
Resounding? Are you calling us fat?
What does % mean?
They’re not seizures. They’re hysteria attacks. It’s a serious medical issue. I got prescribed a vibrator for it.
I hope all your interactions with medical professionals in the future are filled with compassion and restore some of your faith in physicians.
I’ve seen the convo, “this one is going natural, maybe we should give her to Lisa, she’s better with that.”
I mean the entire point being, it wasn’t the nuses fault. I think you missed the gist. Everything went fine except maybe the patient got an ibuprofen or another patient’s blood pressure pill and it didn’t do a dang thing (just bc RNs give pills, mds dont most places. It’s a standard system so limit errors)...but to…
Agreed. And don’t be the type of doctor who scares nurses enough they may feel like it’s better to make the woman uncomfortable or be tempted to do something like this out of desperation rather than face your wrath. The patient always comes first.
I mean this is more a “I’m going to get in trouble and be yelled at if a certain doctor isn’t present” for the nurses because it affects the doctor’s compensation. And unless they have a hospitalist or residents backing them up 24/7 they probably take home call and expect to be updated before a patient is completely…
Some OBs only get compensated by their practices for all of the pre- and post-natal care if they’re there for the delivery. Most OBs won’t get compensated by insurance for the delivery or the postpartum visit if they miss the delivery. Doctors have back-ups in their practice for this very reason, so their practice…
As others mentioned they were probably waiting on the doctor. Doctors may not be compensated for the birth or postpartum care if they aren’t present/catching, so this doctor would likely have been mad if they delivered without him. He would definitely be pissed if they called him when she was completely dilated…
Yeah, that’s my question too. Hospitals settle most OB and NICU cases that ARE bullshit, so taking a real case that they are definitely going to lose to court seems insane.
If the cord prolapses into the vagina you push the baby back in and roll to the OR for a C section. Otherwise, babies and vaginas know what to do most of the time.
It’s generally a panel of doctors and maybe one is in your field. Like for this case, it was likely an OB, a NICU doctor and then maybe a surgeon or pediatrician or something totally unrelated. They get paid a minimal amount given the amount of records they have to review. It’s more for professional courtesy/karma…
Well, fuck that.
As a med student intetested in being a provider one day it’s also now become kind of an all or nothing deal. If you’re a gyn or family doctor who does them there’s such need and so few providers in many places it becomes all you do. It can be discouraging for students who aren’t passionate about it because you first…
I love this: “never mock someone’s ignorance when you are in a position to facilitate knowledge-sharing.”
My mother was a veteran teacher who specialized in bad kids. The principal would load her classroom with people re-taking chemistry and physics or first timers who the bio teachers had asked to never step foot in their classes again. She really had a gift for getting them to try. And at the end of a day, even if the…
