@38thsignal: I shared your opinion about the iPad until I actually got one and spent time with one. The multitouch trackpad is not even a comparable feature to a multitouch SCREEN. I don't even THINK about going for my laptop when I'm sitting on the couch looking to browse the internet... or light emailing.
