What year was Fix-a-Flat brought to market? 1970? Maybe an equivalent product?

I have a nearly identical commute, but the roads have lots of blind curves and dips, so I’d surely get clocked by one of those people who can’t be bothered to keep their 2 ton SUV in their own lane... If the roads were all mine though I’d get a Grom in a heartbeat.
This was definitely better before it got so popular (as so many things are). It used to be on a more haphazard downhill trail in the woods without any sponsor banners, or any loud-mouth announcers.
Unfortunately I was not literate in vehicles at the time, otherwise I could have prevented this mistake in unit conversion.
Haha, indeed it is.
My parents dealt with a sales guy back in the early 90's who enjoyed this term. They still joke about how many times he used “unit” in his pitch. For instance, they must act quickly because he was “moving a lot of units”. I believe they did end up buying a Ford Tempo from him.
These blades are terrible. I bought a pair and threw them in the trash out of frustration within three months. Just pay a few dollars more for Bosch Icons and be done with it.

That reminds me, I need to re-watch both seasons of Better Off Ted at some point.
So many fake vents, weird creases, and unnecessary angles... ugh.
Actually it has a lot to do with synchros. A heel-toe downshift is just a rev-matched downshift while simultaneously braking. And a rev matched downshift greatly reduces wear of said synchros, since without them a non-rev-matched downshift would be near impossible.
Ha! Yeah, there was a post about this video around this time. I forget what kind of 911 it was, but needless to say, it was way too much car for this fellow. You might be able to find it if you dig back through the bowels of Jalopnik or Oppositelock.
The whole episode was funny, but that bit did me in.
I slid off a (wet) road and got my ‘99 Ford Escort stuck in the thick summer weeds of Pennsylvania a few years back. The owner of the property was nice enough to pull it out with his truck.
I can’t unsee that now. “I saw a squirrel, it was doing like this: chka-chka-chka.”
Is that a steelie being used as a hose reel in the background? That is awesome.
True, but emphasis on “these days”.
I lol’d. The M2 is a decent car in theory, but dang that thing is heavy.
Why does this truck have two sets of eyes? Weird.
I wish Ford would stop using these fabric-like fender liners, they are impossible to clean, not to mention the perceived cheapness.
Hmm, so the left side is where the noises come out in the sportier modes?
