I also liked Ravi pointedly introducing himself to Chase Graves, and Chase backing down and apologizing for being rude, and afterward telling Ravi it was nice to meet him. So of course I now like Chase Graves about 100% more, since he was polite to Ravi.
Wrestler brain was blue brain though, so it makes a lot more sense.
This week in Ravi is the Best
Id like to comment on this article but Im still in the grays/greys.
Team SEASON FOUR Marty. Season 7 Marty is awful (but I’m pretty sure we’re supposed to consider Season 7 as non-canon).
A dude with a leather flight jacket, jodhpurs, a retro space-age looking helmet, and a rocket pack, holding a broomhandle Mauser while standing majestically in front of an American flag? Fuck YES. I tear up a little just thinking about it.
I think you’ll find more people in your corner than you realize. It’s nostalgic without being cloying, it works as a period piece, it’s true to the source material, and it’s a damn good movie as well.
I think the art deco style posters are an object of beauty, although it’s possible that they turned-off younger audiences who didn’t appreciate the reference/retro vibe.
Fight you? Buddy, you and me are gonna be side-by-side firing tommy guns at Nazis, the rate this is going.
I agree totally. They didn’t know how to market it. It wasn’t a typical Superhero movie. It wasn’t really a period piece. It was... complicated. I think it would have found a better audience if it were made and released today.
Only 62% Fresh at Rotten Tomatoes! How’s that possible? I don’t know of anyone who dislikes this film. Even Kevin Smith, who tends to be quite critical of comic-book movies, considers it to be one of the all-time best.
I’m not going to fight you. I’m going to help you fight people. In fact, I’ll raise you. The Rocketeer is one of the best MOVIES ever. Every single action in film informs character decisions and drives the plot forward. It’s beautiful aesthetically, and it’s god damned gorgeous narrative wise.
The Rocketeer was one of the best superhero movies ever. Fight me.
The headline should’ve been ‘The Formidable A Wrinkle in Time Has a Few Kinks to Iron Out.”
I think this show devotes some serious thoughts on its mythology and world-building, but its mythology hasn’t much to do with the zombie concept per se. No iZombie zombie is even technically a zombie. They’re not reanimated corpses. The things we know about these zombies are:
I agree. The plan was ridiculous, especially since there must have been a million ways to make a murder look accidental on such a large estate. Didn’t any of these people ever play a game of Clue? I think the writers just filled a fish bowl with wacky murder scenarios written on chits and just went with the first one…
