I think Fieri gets a lot of hate because of his sincerity. He seems genuinely excited to try whatever fare the locals recommend and genuinely delighted by the that fare and the locals. “Cool” usually means sort of detached, and that is not Fieri. Not surprised that he’s a good guy (Fieri) who cares about people. 

When people speak about how handsome Leo is, I get the feeling that someone everyone else was hypnotized, and I avoided it.

The Kara & Mon-El farewell never got anywhere near Casablanca (or Veronica Mars & Logan’s lives ruined, blood shed moment, a personal fav), but it was pretty real. Drake was plastered all over the homepage (mom: why is there a monk on your Spotify?) but I found that listening to classical, musicals and rock anthems of the 70s has helped me avoid the marketing blitz. 

I loathe the encroaching podcast adverts. I switched to podcasts to avoid them!

I love my podcasts, but I’m a hardcore NPR nerd so that tracks. Fav podcasts are No Such Thing as a Fish, Omnibus Project (very acquired taste/specific audience), Revisionist History, A Way with Words, but podcasts are more about time-shifting stuff that I’d hear on the radio anyway 

I loved the first series of Serial and couldn’t abide S-Town. It was rambling misery porn to me.
