Eh. Plenty of interesting stuff being made outside franchise hell.

The Kylo think read more like a poor attempt at negging to me, ie. he was trying to het her to join him by tying her self-worth to him. God Reylo was such a toxic ship.

I’m just surprised that people still completely don’t get the message of the film. It wasn’t “nothing matters”, it was “expectations don’t make you who you are and shouldn’t be expected to in the first place”.

(jerkoff motions)

I love the people who complain about the bombing run in the beginning: “how can you drop bombs in space? I hate when there’s ill logic in my movie about space wizards with swords whose blades are lasers of a finite length!”

If it helps, I think plenty of people really liked The Last Jedi (including me!). Unfortunately, the people who didn’t are louder, and have successfully overshadowed any question of whether it’s good with a reputation as being poisonous no matter what.

The casino planet criticism is way overblown imo. Sure, it ultimately doesn't alter the plot, but it certainly matters thematically and for the characters. And does plot impact matter that much? You could argue that Han and Leia spending half of ESB evading the Empire only to end up being caught by the empire is

I dunno, isnt one of the big gripes about the MCU right now all about how cookie cutter and formulaic it is? Disney might bring in someone with a vision or style, but the edges ultimately get sanded down to a pretty familiar and reliable template. I mean I enjoy a lot of their content, but creative freedom is not my

Also great: the stuff about war profiteers playing both sides.

Huh, I’ve never seen one of their films use that genre or a major character behind a mask before...

He’s not wrong. The one time a mainline Star Wars entry tried to do anything different the “fans” attacked it so much Disney put out the most generic followup you could think of and hasn’t done anything risky since.

As a forty-year-old, I would normally agree but I’ve had a stiff back for two days now which is making me think that it might actually be a reasonable choice of words.

My biggest guess is that it’ll end with Kim having to testify against Jimmy as it seems like the most tragic ending to a show that is essentially a tragedy.

I’m kind of hoping they drop the black-and-white stuff. At this point there is no more Gene or Florida Kim. Whatever selves they were trying to create are gone. They’re back to being Jimmy/Saul and Kim. Also, the show (and BB) have such incredible color cinematography. It seems fitting to me for it to end with that

And the last 43.5 minutes of the show’ll be a dance montage!

They’d have to catch him first. The they’d have to get him to talk, which won’t happen. The might as well be interviewing a dead man.

Now playing

Also, I thought law enforcement found Jesse’s car at the Mexican border so no reason for them to think he’s dead.

Ed’s a rock. He’s also smart and wouldn’t leave anything around to incriminate himself. Also, wouldn’t a guy who specializes in disappearing people be capable of disappearing himself like a fart in the wind?
