The suits loved it so much they promised Johnson his own trilogy.
Then the man-babies came out crying about how Luke Skywalker never acted that way when they were mashing their action figures together and now you don’t hear about that series anymore.

Agree, though ‘Palm Springs’ and ‘Plus One’ are a couple of standout good ones from the last year or so.

Definitely a Prime example

Modern romantic comedies are a genre in crisis & this seems like a prime example, with movies desperately lacking relatable or sensible premises and believable or likable characters

That’s pretty good I feel.

The fan service was fine. This is not fine art. It’s Star Wars. It’s supposed to be fun.”

The Last Jedi was pretty drama free, at least the making of it. The reaction, not so much.

Grogu is still emblematic of what’s wrong with modern Star Wars, it’s all rooted in nostalgia.

I’ve got a lot of issues with Solo, but I’ll just say this: The director swap-out deprived us of seeing Michael K. Williams play a Star Wars villain and I will never forget that.

The recurring flaw in the Star Wars universe is the gatekeepers continue trying to double-down on things and ideas that have already succeeded instead of attempting to break new ground. Toy Story is a movie in our (the real(?)) universe.

My gut tells me Warburton is going to have a cameo as either a senior director at Star Command or as the voice of Buzz’s father on a saved voicemail from Earth. Or those cameos will go to Tim Allen. Who knows.

Not gonna lie, having Patrick Warburton do the voice of Buzz again would have been the easiest way for this movie to garnish some form of excitement out of me
