I’ve wondered why those Muppet Show DVDs just stopped but should have assumed that was the reason because music rights holders are the goddamn worst!

I really don’t want to deny folks the opportunity to profit from their assets — honest! — but holy shit I wish some of these fuckers would make an occasional exception

First off, I’m glad they officially announced something after rumors.

Why not call it Avengers Academy?

I think a shortform series is just what the Muppets need until they build the characters and brand back up again. Think of it as the Muppets having their own YouTube channel where they release ten-minute skits or whatever a few times a week. They need to build new bits, new character arcs, stuff like that. The old

This comment is inexcusably missing a Statler & Waldorf-ian “oh-HOHOHOHOHO!” at the end.

Of all the properties Disney has been swallowing up, The Muppets are the one I most wish they would lose control of.

I thought the self-titled reboot movie was mostly a disaster (and based on screentime, should have been titled The Humans) and I’ve always been confused by the praise it received, whereas Muppets Most

I was too! (Until I watched it.)

Ben was supposedly doing little more than pulling “crazy hermit duty” on Tatooine in the years between the films

Don’t tell the Hallmark Channel.

Noelle sounds like a pretty standard TV Christmas movie, but Bill Hader makes me hope for a little more. And if Billy Eichner isn’t doing his Billy Eichner thing  while dressed as an elf, then it’s going to be an awful waste.

This is all very well and good, but it’s time for Disney to finally answer the question everyone has been asking: will their streaming service host Guy Williams’s Zorro TV series?

The Noelle movie looks like a mock ad from the internet. I’m thinking that might be Hader’s and Kendrick’s biggest payday.

Every other character gets an arc, but Captain Marvel just gets a straight line. It’s sad, because with some script revisions to actually pay off on all the “control your emotions” stuff, and more impact from her discovering her past, it could’ve been really good.

This site just spent an entire week shitting on American Beauty, so in this bubble yeah.

Larson was hampered by having to play a stoic, serious-faced amnesiac for 90% of the movie. Not exactly a screen-grabber of a character, despite the fireworks.

I blame the writing, they had the character start where they wanted her to end up, so there was no growth. Also, she did her parts in endgame before her parts in her movie, so they knew what she was going to be first, and I don’t think they actually figured out where that came from. When you start at “doesn’t back

A butt double helped launch Julia Roberts’ career.

I like Brie Larson and I like her acting...except in Captain Marvel, which was a bad movie with a disappointingly dull lead performance.

Fun fact: Megan Trainor is neither of those things

I too think all actresses who aren’t size 0s are interchangeable.
