There could be no better metaphor for this season than a massive, bloody shit storm that leaves everyone stunned and miserable.

It was such a wonderful palate cleanser after that *other* episode I watched tonight.

A very The Shield-like ending. I dug it, even though my head was spinning with the rapid-fire twists and turns.

Yeah, they will, because they swerved away from it for plot reasons, not as part of some character arc. They wanted Cersei and Jaime to die together, so they rushed together some lazy writing for why their magical assassin can’t be the one to kill her. Now that’s out of the way, they’ll lazily write her back into…

Yeah, and as others have said above, the motivation for gratuitous mass murder being “my nephew won’t fuck me!” really rings hollow. I don’t buy it.

I have no idea what this comment means, but if I think the last two seasons have kind of sucked because of the writing and plotting, does that mean I’m a tyrant-loving normie?

So many of you are upset about the way Jamie and Cersei died together. But I’ve got good news-

That main gate must have contained some of the Reach’s magical exploding barley (like in the wagons in S7). Dragons are powerful, but I thought sure it would need at least 2 passes to torch it to smithereens.  Even Harrenhal still has plenty of walls.
