I have no interest in seeing this, as I generally don’t like Matthew Vaughn movies. This looks like Kingsman (which I didn’t like) but worse.

I remember being particularly impressed by Phil Hartman, how he totally committed to even the worst sketches of the night.  Like playing the angry captain in a stupid cop sketch that was basically just a build-up to a dumb masturbation joke.  But he was all in, even in crap like that. 

Oh, yeah, his appearance was infamous. What I remember about that evening, though, was the handful of bad sketches that didn’t make it to air (as dress is longer than even the 1:30 hour runtime of the actual show) only for them to show up on air months later.

Yes, but you can’t argue that he wasn’t famous.

Call me old fashioned, but I remember when they used to hire famous and/or talented people to host SNL.

Agreed. Euphoria is a little too under the radar to justify the “superstardom” label for any of its cast.  To me, she’s just that gal from White Lotus, S1.

I expect slightly better from the Hollywood Reporter, but here we are....

I liked him on “Alien Nation”, but, wow, you’re including fan films in the guy’s obit?  Uh, okay....

Koepp has had such a weird career. He continually shits the bed on adaptations and IP, but I’ve enjoyed quite a lot of his own original work.

Exactly. Baldwin may be a huge tool, but there’s no way this is his fault unless he did something like grab the gun from the armorer prematurely, elbow him in the face and said, “Fuck off, let’s do this!”

Licensing your own content to Netflix (or wherever) is the ONLY way you’re going to make money on streaming.  As you said, each studio’s own boutique services are money pits. 

I try to be as good of an ally as I can be, but the LGBTQ acronym has gotten out of hand.  Can’t we just find something simpler? 

Spaceballs is barely crude at all, at least compared to “Saddles.”
