I read an earlier article about this show that mentioned that it was a remake of “Miranda”. I watched one episode of “Miranda” and realized that the setting was very different with the similarities being a quirky female lead (and talking to the camera). My first thought was “No kitties!”

I have a question that has nothing to do with what happens to Jack. In this episode he & Rebecca started talking about getting into flipping houses. Was flipping houses really a term in 1997? That struck me as an anachronism, but I know nothing about the construction industry (like Jack does). Does anybody know?
