I hope I’m not too late for people to see this! Are any of you interested in having a picture of your cat in a book? I’m working on a book called “A Cat For All Seasons,” coming out in November 2015, and I’m looking for cute, seasonally themed pictures of cats! I figured Jezebel would be a perfect place to ask. You…
Sigh. I can't believe I'm defending these assholes but there was a correction on at least one article about them that they did NOT ask strangers to fund their weddings. They asked family and friends, just like any other couple that registers for honeymoon stuff instead of a china pattern.
Yes, this exactly. If her husband is happy with their situation then that is great. But the fact that the men she is with are actively cheating on their spouses is far from decent behaviour. It's selfish and, particularly if their partners are depressed, incredibly cruel. I also rather side-eye the fact that she…
Yeah, I was completely with her up to the point where we found out she insists on her partners being like her, with no caveat about the other spouses knowing. And yes, I know, she made those spouses no promises but I would hope she would pause a bit knowing she's helping a man hurt his wife. And I know, those wives…
Good evening, Jezzies! I hope everyone is having a great weekend.
Let's be real. IfI showered more than twice a week, my skin would fall off. I live in a dry climate and have sensitive skin. I'm not nasty. I don't smell. I clean myself, but a full body shower everydamday is just too much.
Then at the very least one of the parents needs to come out and help her or any other nurse shovel out a spot. Not too many people carry show shovels in their car. If you hire a nursing service, I feel you have a responsibility to make your home as accessible as possible.
Dibs is illegal. End of story. Also, I live in Chicago, and though it has snowed, it hasn't snowed enough for people to have to truly dig out spaces yet. There are people who will try and call dibs after a dusting of snow.
Playing Devil's Advocate here, she may be less a licenced nurse, and more a trained home health aide who cannot replace that car if it's damaged and wouldn't get reimbursement for cabs.
I met the Johnson family when they were my service customers at the BMW dealer where I worked. Jack Jr seemed like a really nice, easygoing guy, just the opposite of how you'd expect a professional athlete/Olympian to act. His parents, on the other hand, acted like the worst kind of self-entitled jerks. His mother's…
I'm sure it's frustrating when someone "steals" the spot you dug out. My mom still complains about her neighbors the winter she was pregnant with me. However, at a certain point you just have to recognize it's a public street and sometimes people are going to use "your" space. In general I'd say I'm a mean nasty…
wow such sophisticated tastes
Hmmmm. Interesting.
I'm turning 30 soon, and just watched The One Where They All Turn Thirty (or whatever it's called). You know. The one where Rachel dumps her cute, fun, younger boyfriend because she decides she's running out of time to get married and have children, they use the words "all downhill from here", Monica drinks herself…
Not talk about it. You can just do the right thing without telling everyone. That's not only for issues of racism, it's also just a general rule. You shouldn't need positive reinforcement for being a decent person. Just be one.
Jesus Christ, she was being fucking nice. Her asshole friend assumed they were doing something wrong, when really they were just trying to go do something fun and couldn't afford it. She assumed that there was more to the story than them being "up to no good," went and asked - a novel concept, I know - and was right.…
Had my ex-wife show up in my "suggested Matches for you" box. I messaged her and said "I didn't know you liked piña coladas". She didn't find the humor in that.
I really love Serial but I really do feel like people are forgetting that this isn't an episode of True Detective. Maybe that mail kimp t-shirt isn't quite so funny when you think about the fact that a real girl was murdered, a real guy is in prison, and real people are still devastated by this case.
You go, Peggy Young! But I'm side-eyeing the name "Triniti" pretty hard.
