My favorite for dudes that show up with no costume: a flasher.

I was maybe 5 or 6 when they diagnosed my allergies to mold and fungi. Mom still made me eat mushrooms as part of her “you have to try one bite” rule, despite that bite making me physically sick every time. I also took penicillin successfully until I was 18, when it caused anaphylaxis and an ER visit.
I agree with you. SIMPLE baking is fairly easy, so long as you RTFM. I’d rather make a quick bread, cake, etc. from a new recipe, as it tells you what to look for so you know it is done. (A skewer has few crumbs and no batter; a cake springs back when you lightly touch it, etc.) With too many “entree” type recipes,…
When I left a job with a local UCP affiliate, where I was #2 (Exec Director was #1,) for an entry level job in the private sector, I got 2.5x the salary to do so. I got three promotions in my 1st three months, and finally earned a good wage.
For basket type air fryers, Dawn Power Wash does an amazing job.
Where I live, if I go to Publix and ask for paper bags, they never seem to have any at the register, and tell me they only do plastic. When I get groceries via Instacart, 9/10 times they arrive in paper bags, which I reuse to bundle my recycling for the bins where plastic is verboten.
What these would be great for is storm kits. For kids of all ages. I haven’t had to use my own kit in years, but when I went over a week without power, I was glad I had it.
Really? I’ll be sure to tell that to all the food ingredient manufacturers and egg product manufacturers whom I’ve known my entire life and who to this day warn me about eggs and salmonella. I’ll be sure to tell the The Egg Safety Council and the USDA that their info page is wrong, according to some rando on a comment…
Because of the way US “washes” eggs, egg cartons that come from the grocery and used to hold eggs can transmit salmonella to any food you put in them. This is why Alton Brown’s “meatball” hack is so bad. I’d hate to potentially get sick because I decided to drain fried food in a salmonella transmitter.
I am NOT a “Karen.” And although more often than not, a GOOD restaurant will take care of the issue right away, I have stopped going to a couple of restaurants because of how they treated an issue.
Um...you do realize this is DIRECTLY ripped off from an episode of The Big Bang Theory, when Sheldon implemented this very meal choice system, down to the D&D dice. And even a fictional character with flexibility issues realized how dumb of an exercise it was.
It can stay and cause issues later, including pneumonia and other lung conditions. It can actually cause death for those with swallowing disorders, which is why they suction it out.
I live in FL, where liquor licenses are hard to get but beer/wine licenses are easy. I have seen them make V&Ts with malt liquor, and the consumer never knowing. Easy rule of thumb is ANY cocktail you get at a place with no liquor license is going to be malt liquor based. That applies even if you see a row of bottles…
I used to work with people who had CP, and a subset who had swallowing disorders. When you DO aspirate, they use a suction machine to clear the threat. It’s nasty, but if you think you are in danger, head to the ER to be suctioned. We had one person who, despite being on a pureed diet, had to have the suction machine…
After complaining that some powered egg whites I bought at the grocery produced “flat eyeball cookies,” the company my Dad used to work for sent me a HUGE bag of theirs. Dad had bragged these were good for at least 15 years. When I thanked the former colleague who actually sent them, and mentioned that fact, he…
They knew. Wine was sold from separate booths than food, and the glass-holding plates cost extra. They just hadn’t tested them with folks who have issues. :) But at least they tried. And the folks who had 2 usable hands liked them. :)
I am so sorry your family is like mine. You are not alone though, and your comment makes me feel better knowing I am not either.
In my case, the 1 percenter who claims to be “struggling middle class” on over 200k a year is robbing from her educator sisters who made career choices based on their father saying they did…
Got one of those at a local street fair a few years back, and it was still near impossible to carry to a table without losing half my wine. (My other had was busy holding the cane I need for mobility.)
I am a cane user, and my issue is I need a hand for that. This would be a LIFE SAVER for someone like me. I catually have a water bottle and a Koozie that I have on a string. I bring it to street fairs and the like, because it is literally IMPOSSIBLE for me to carry a drink AND food even 10 feet to a table unless I…
As one who had to use a w/c for several years, let me tell you we do NOT expect all of this. I was carried into many places that had accessibility challenges, and even at my parents’ house, I did NOT expect them to do things like make the kitchen meet my needs.
