I'm totally unimpressed by the fashion, but it's very true that the creators of modern sci fi tv and movies are totally chicken when it comes to future fashion. They're so afraid that some day someone will smirk at their vision the way they smirk at older things like Star Trek.

Agree, todays Sci Fi movie costumes are incredibly tame by comparison to the 70s/80s. It's the same short list of concept artists who work on all projects and all their illustrations/designs look incredibly similar to each other. The generic videogame design look. I don't know if the artists have just gotten less…
