Crazy idea but....how about they just build small affordable cars? I know I am a mad man for proposing it but who knows, it could work.

Glad so many of you obviously highly educated pampered millennials know what people who have worked and earned their way through life might want. It would be amazing for any of you to understand true thought and kinship with anything other than your own self centered needs and weak ambitions.

Call me the market for that truck. I’m married with no kids and few regular passengers. My DD is a 2015 GMC Canyon, my wife has a 2013 Mazda 3 that we do most our errands in. I haul enough big stuff for hobby purposes that I have lots of use for a truck, but even a half-ton is too big.

I think he meant CB radio there, good buddy.

Nope.  It’ll be the Ranch-E-Ro and it’ll be electric.

This comment might get deleted but (ahem) ITS ABOUT FUCKING TIME!!!!! Sincerely everyone who wants a small cheap truck.

New Ford Courier?

The fact that you knew it was Nalley is what makes this whole situation extra-special.

You are mistaking your mouth for your the other end of your GI tract. It’s fun talking crap about boomers. By the way your mama called, and she can’t get the shit stains out of your Ricky Martin panties.

That makes two of us! About to pay off my ‘17 GTI too. Plan to pay my Fiata off at the end of the year. Clearing the decks for building a new garage with a detached house in a year or two, so need to minimize the old debt to income ratio to keep the bank happy.

Lol...I put 10k down and got 1.75% APR. I wasn’t too stressed about the loan.

Ah yes, Nalley VW. The same dealership that overhauled the entire cooling system on our B5.5 Passat, only to neglect replacing the original expansion tank cap. Which resulted in coolant boiling over and another tow back to the dealership.  Fun times.

David Tracy sells offset credits for people that want to buy a new car, but has to keep their Fleet average age within Jalopnik guidelines.

Yes, and I am two months away from it being paid off, whoo hoo!

We don’t buy new cars for ourselves.
But we do buy new crossovers for our spouses to drive the kids around while we change rusted brake line on a 17 year old BMW.

I think I over-shared there.

Jalopnik author here...bought a new car.

My man Tom knows more about economics than most people with PhDs in economics.

It’s all anecdotal evidence, but having had over 18+ European cars so far in my life, not once did I ever think about a warranty of any kind. I’ve always bought old or CPO’d, as most of my favorite cars are from a bygone era. Really, IMHO, If you bought one from a caring owner, good CarFax history, and lots of service
