Same.
Same.
I have never done this ever, but if Toyota announces that they will bring this exact car (not a Corolla with a fake carbon fiber wing) to the US, I will drive to my local dealer and put an order/deposit down for one. I know they would probably only sell dozens of these nationwide, but all I really want is a street…
Steal of a deal for smiles per miles.
If you ever wonder why America doesnt get the Hot Hatches like the rest of the World, this (the price) is exactly to blame. No one would buy it (in any mass numbers) with such other cheaper ways to obtain speed. The USA is not burdened with narrow roads. Most cities can be easily navigated in a....wait for…
It’s how you shield yourself from the backlash of the investigation and FCA would’ve been better off if they’d done the opposite and talked him into staying. It also frames Bigland as someone with a great deal of integrity, something that will be completely invaluable in his next position. Nissan could use a guy like…
The suit is because of alleged retaliation - as in, he claims that he did the legal, ethical, and responsible thing of bringing issues to the attention of the company and cooperating with the feds (you know, the things he’s legally and ethically obligated to do - and things that you can probably find to be mandated in…
Dude is the international (possibly intergalactic for all we know) hide and seek champion. The fact that I have to often explain the who/what/when/where/why after making a reference to him only strengthens the fact that he mastered the art of disappearing and being forgotten. National. Treasure.
I could even spring for a 2012 Vantage S with 15K fewer miles and more powerrr!! for $11K less. The blue interior looks dope:
At 10k over similar cars currently on the market? Yes.
Corvette’s? Please explain the apostrophe. Don’t be upset, being the Chief of the Grammar Police is all I have today... (my 15-year-old daughter asked me to stop sending her cat posts on Instagram) I’m crestfallen.
I would. I can live with the paint, but the wheels are too much for me. It’s above market price so the owner is expecting to be paid for his add-ons. His add-on wheels would be my take offs. Why pay above market for those wheels unless you want them.
A CEO of a large company blowing a whistle on the company’s 3 decades out fraudulent sales practices is one of the bolder things I’ve seen. Most CEOs would try to clean it up (maybe) and sweep it under the rug.
He filed the suit a couple years ago when he took the position and noticed the issue. The company retaliated against him so now it sounds like he’s going somewhere that hopefully isn’t trying to hide shady business practices.
That’s not what happened though. He was put into the position, uncovered this shit, filed the lawsuit himself and was cooperating, and as a result of exposing their bullshit, got pushed out.
According to the article, he was cooperating with the federal investigation into their sales practices. FCA has been a dick to him about it, so he’s leaving. He didn’t drop the dime on them as he was walking out the door. He leveled a whistleblower lawsuit against them last year.
Here, go buy this one with not-shitty wheels, less miles and 10 grand cheaper.
star’d for the Anita Bryant reference... man, haven’t heard that name since I was a kid growing up in Florida
So its an Aston Martin V8 Vantage, that’s a plus, but it’s got dumb wheels that are tasteless on it, so that’s a negative, but it’s a V8 Vantage, oh, it’s an auto and it’s been personalised. Oh dear. CP.
He actually typed “on fleek” and it autocorrected to unique.
The ad is too light on details, we get no shots under the hood, rims that scream “I make poor choices”, and it’s listed on a garage sale website?
