On a related note, this is why I’m leery of more modern cars - the more software they have, the less control and more vulnerable you are as the owner/end user. Your vehicle could even be remotely disabled, hypothetically; malware, viruses can be uploaded. You could potentially be tracked, listened in on, heck, receive

Dear God, this needs to end NOW!

I have always found them to be elegant and sexy, would love to own one.....but alas, it’s as out of reach to me financially as a hypercar. Maybe someday.....

I love the look, if this is any indication of final appearance. Loved the original Bronco, love the FJ Cruiser.....have despised Ford for their transmission hijinks of the last decade, but if this is as cool as it seems it’s going to be, I hope they print money with it.  Just praying it doesn't have some of the awful

Me!! Hate plain tent camping now that I'm old, would love to have something like this. :-)

I love Mahk! Makes me want to buy a Suzuki Vitara after I watch some of his commercials. :-)

Honestly, I’m in your corner on this one David - I like the new grille better. The way it's packaged looks rather high end to my eyes.

Ok, just saw JD Power at the bottom of that graph, feel immensely better now. Wish I could insert a Mahk mock Chevy commercial right here, but my phone refuses to allow me to do such simple things here on Kinja. :-/

CHEVY is #4?!?! What is this, a JD Power ‘award’? Good Lord. Hell froze over and I wasn’t informed.....

This is a fun mod of a tough AWD vehicle.....but over 200k miles? An unmodded version could expect to go for a good bit further, but a turboed version will surely not. That’s a lot of money for something that will likely require a good bit of upkeep soonish. Plus...... couldn’t they have hit those hinges with a rattle

William, I think you’ve bested my find, dangitall! We purchased a 1987 Camry 4 cyl with 102k mi for $2k even, a little over a year and a half ago, thought we’d hit the jackpot. It did need new shocks in the rear, and new struts all around. Peeling clear coat now, alas.....we have no covered parking, so it’s not fared

That’s a really cool story! Love the robot you made.

I think I'd like to hear that story, no kidding. I'm fascinated already.

No head injuries of note, but I have been running a high fever. Delirium?

That’s a lovely design, and what I could see of the interior (one whole picture, kept getting an unresponsive script error so no other photos seemed to want to load), looked very comfortable and well thought out. I’d like to see these come to production, if only to rattle some cages at other companies. Like the

Very well reasoned, and spoken. Thank you for sharing with the rest of us.

Really enjoyed the write up Andrew, good stuff! Looks like you had fun testing this product out too, always a bonus.

Range was my first thought after reading those beefy torque and HP numbers. Honestly, I’m really interested - if they can pull off a good range number, I’d say they’ll be printing money with these things.

I love reading your responses! Have a star on me, sir.
