I'd worry more about the wear and tear from stop and start traffic from Houston. I45-S at rush hour? *shudder*

Yikes, I’m really sad to hear that! When the three E trucks were announced at close to the same time, I remember loving what Rivian had to offer best.  Not just looks - though I really like those - but the range, torque, the whole product. I still feel if they can polish this up, they’ll do well.

That’s an awesome looking little wagon that no doubt would be a hoot to tool around in! The duct taped windshield, lack of wipers or even an antenna (no AM radio!), plus the rust make this way overpriced.

Maybe now they'll bring it here? (Asked hopefully)

That.....that green! 😮 I'd pay the price just for the color, and the wagonesque shape. Glorious!!

I voted nice price, don’t care who knows! Been dying in bed this last week missed a lot of Jalopnik, so happy to see today’s NPOCP was something interesting but fairly cheap and off roady. If I’m voting against the flow, I blame the feverish haze.

Max that was an interesting, informative read. Thanks!

But the one on the left is cool. 😉

It looks absolutely gorgeous, I guess I can understand garaging it. Honestly though, it makes me a little sad. Being locked away in a museum like setting isn't what such a car like that is for. :-/

Am I the only one here that wants the dinosaur to win?

Oh wow, Shane....so sorry to hear that. Hope he choked to death on said cigarettes. :-/ Starred for becoming an awesome guy anyway.

Oh. My. Goodness.

Brilliant post!

Good luck at the new job, Alanis - I hope you thoroughly enjoy it!

I completely agree.... this was some interesting information, nicely worded and phrased, with good pictures illustrating the story. Hope this Blake feller sticks around! We’ve had some really good content the last few days. I’m glad to see the editors and writers are trying really hard to not let the Spanfeller effect

Charming and interesting article and video Kristin (and David). Appreciate looking at car culture from different viewpoints....this is also a great companion piece to Bradley's car art article. Good job!

Bradley, this is probably one of my favorite pieces you've written. Car related for sure, but a little offbeat and original; not something you'd see here every day. Thanks!

Awesome story, thanks!

I'm in the Golden Triangle, an hour or so East of you. There are zero public chargers here, I’ve checked.....so no EV for us in the near future.
