I just watched this, and would give it a solid B. Part of the reason is probably that I’m older (though still younger than Jerry Seinfeld). The 60s references were a big part of my childhood, so the nostalgia aspect was fun. And I thought there were some clever references, like Mad Men and the 1/6 insurrection (which

It doesn’t.  It lessens glare from very bright lights.

It’s “toeing” the line.  Embarrassing.

Now that she’s an adult, is she going to stop sticking her tongue out for photographers?

You’re taking the words literally.  The line, “Thank God it’s them” is meant to show how Westerners actually feel, as painful and difficult as that is.  Geldof specifically asked Bono, a fellow Irishman, to sing it.  “Let them know it’s Christmas” means show them some generosity, not literally teach Africans a

AV Club, why are you deleting my response?  No bad words, controversy.  Please explain!

Fair.

Geldof intentionally wrote the line “thank God it’s them,” and had Bono (a fellow Irishman) sing it, to point out the reality of how people actually feel, uncomfortable as that is. It’s not meant to be taken literally. “Let them know it’s Christmas” simply means do something generous; again, it’s not literally about

I already loved her, but love her even more after hearing that she left Elon’s Twitter.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I thought Ed and his band of saboteurs broke a few laws, and might have ended up in prison? The show didn’t address that at all, except for the Helios guy at the very end, and it doesn’t make sense that someone wouldn’t have been hung out to dry for costing two superpowers trillions of dollars.

I think so.  It got better and better for me.  Yes, it’s uncomfortable, but it’s also complex, brilliant, and laugh-out-loud funny.

Thank you (genuinely) for a fun and interesting article.  Among other things, I learned the name of the song Google put to a video I took on my phone of a dog birthday party (Carefree).

I was thinking more Groucho Marx.

Mr. Betancourt called it “physical therapy,” which is extremely incorrect. What we saw is chiropractics, which can be extremely dangerous. Pulling on someone’s neck, right where the brain stem is located, can cause serious harm. And having Whitney visit a chiropractor instead of a mainstream medical practice like PT

Justice was served.

I’m a former domestic violence prosecutor, and this article brought back memories for me. We didn’t have the term “DARVO,’ though I like it. We just called it re-victimizing the victim through the legal system. It can be countered though.

Thank you for that!  Language matters.

Dino, you would be one of the first to call a crime victim an accuser, but suit yourself.  In fact, often victims of DV and SA simply seek medical attention for their injuries, and the doctor (a mandated reporter) calls the police.  Is the doctor an accuser, or simply reporting information as is required by law?

If he’s acquitted, he’ll probably follow Johnny Depp’s example and sue the victim for defamation.  These guys have no shame.

I’m a former domestic violence prosecutor, and I think your analysis is correct. I agree that witnesses should own their mistakes; doing that definitely helps credibility. One thing I saw pretty often was that, if a victim was a user of any kind of controlled substance, juries basically treated them as if they
