I was around the same age (also a Boy Meets World fan), and I remember catching the pilot after hearing all the  buzz/controversy (probably about a dozen Entertainment Tonight stories in one week about how two teens share a bed, and one has an affair with his teacher. Is it daring or scandalous?).
