Okay, but just for fun, lets take an inventory of the worst things these characters have done. Because I feel like I'm either watching a different show than everyone else, or living in a different universe. I haven't seen the latest episode but he's what I have so far:

I guess I'm just baffled at the extent to which people find these characters "unlikeable". I actually can't think of a single T.V. series, where the characters weren't at least as flawed as these ones. As an extention of your thought, I think people want their flawed characters to be either cartoonish (like It's

This is an interesting point, though personally I have felt that the "wackier" aspects of the show have been well handled, and maintain a pretty consistent tone.
Are you a fan of Louie? I ask because it's another show that I love, and yet I think it's one of the most tonally schizophrenic shows ever made. In fact, one

I came here specifically to talk about the "likeability/relatability problems" on this show, and think it could use a little further discussion. As I brought up in the SFU season 1 recap this weekend, I find the Fishers and Company some of the most shrill, self-involved, and negative characters in the history of

Hey. I am the only other person in the world that agrees with you on the finale. And it amazes me that we're the only two.I stuck out the whole series because I was totally sucked in by the occasional spectacle and soapiness of the show. Also quite a few of my best friends were totally enamored, and would ask me

@Jordo I don't hate it they way you do, but I do agree that Six Feet Under has one of the most unpleasant cast of characters ever on television. It's an interesting point to bring up at the moment, given that one of the (many) criticisms being leveled at Girls right now is that the characters are unlikeable.

I haven't commented here too too much, and only started following along with the recaps about a year ago I think, but I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone here, before this board gets deader than Sunnydale. Because as lame is it sounds reading thise recaps and comments has been really damn important to me, and I

Yeah, it really is a tragic scene because you feel for both the characters (or at least I do). Neither of them wanted it to play out the way it did, Lorne believes he is above this level of moral compromise, and Lindsey believes he is above being offed by a lacky. As is often the case in life, reality is far less

Only seen the first three episodes, but put me down for loving Hannah, in spite of her flaws (which are certainly plentiful). I'd friend her like crazy.
