Rayman Origins popped to mind when I read this.

Well thanks a TON, it's this type of stuff I'd love to see in reviews. I can clearly see how much you enjoyed the game, I think talking to someone who loves a certain game really lets you know what it's about.... in turn, your description actually has me convinced I won't like it even thou to you and many others it's

Way to miss the point, marketing/media people love this type of response however. Sex sells, classy people know this but don't choose to use it to sell their stuff IMO, and I wasn't saying she wasn't a knowledgeable woman, leading me to believe you may be a woman yourself because you are getting defensive over

You didn't read what I said, and if you've visited Kotaku lately you'd notice the increase in them posting videos like this. And funny observation, no other gaming site has published this, hmmmm maybe your assumption about what you thought I said isn't that far off ;)

NO NO, it's definitely not turned based, it's a very different type of game than what attracts me to the JRPG genre. Your statement about frenetically paced and MB explosions everywhere maybe also led me to assume you like to think your way through games and appreciate design and challenge to your games, which Demons

Yeah, fair enough, I hit a point of 'tedious' getting into the 3rd dungeon actually. But, once I passed that point I was left satisfied and felt as if the tedious was more 'challenge' because it was different than what I've become used to in games and in turn appreciated the challenge of thought it gave me. Hmm that

You really don't need a lot of horse power to run it on PC, so if you don't plan on loading games that require high horse DX11 based games like BF3, you can probably pick yourself up an older card like Nvidia's GTX 8800 (I think that was it's name) for cheap and play Skyrim on it's highest settings (or close).

Awesome description, thanks for that. There were two things in particular that gives me hope, first you said party roles maintain distinct flavor (awesomeness) and you very last statement that you yourself had a dense and satisfying experience.

Like FFXII? That statement is a very strong and scary statement to me! Did you play both, and like both? Basically what I'm saying is, I realllly didn't like FFXII all that much but with some refinement I could stomach it over FFXIII's battle system.

Sad face, it's too bad Kotaku feels to remain competitive they too need to add videos who host is an attractive women talking about video games. I don't really find that classy, it's more of a marketing/news desk kind of ploy. Given that it's known the majority of gamers are still men (YES women play game, lots of

Excellent... Darn, I just watched a vid and I'm afraid I may not like the battle system. Anyone play through the game that can explain in more detail if the battle system is enjoyable in the sense of old school turn based that required strategy and thought?

No, 'similar' problem. Should have been more explicit in that statement. I'm about 100 hours in, only at level 40ish right now... but am starting to realize that I'm heading towards the end and have no desire to have it end as it's a wonderful way to spend an evening... looting caves, wandering the wilderness. So my

Hmmm really, I thought the game had a consistent "wow this thing gets more clever and polished with every moment" all throughout.

By the third dungeon you will be completely sold in the brilliance that is Skyward Sword, I think I had the same experience based on what you've said.

Similar problem, I've come to convince myself that maybe if I played in a different style (archery, two-handed with a conjuration twist and a focus on smithing vs. battle mage with destruction, one handed and focus on enhancement) I may be able to trick myself into experiencing the same 150 dungeons in a new way like

Wow, glad I'm not alone! Fair to assume then a game like Demon's Souls attracted you? I picked up and oldie last night, Clash of Heroes, so far I'm really liking it and was pleased to see the turn based/strategy aspect of the game.

Realllly? I thought I was alone, given the desire for companies to move completely away from what I personally like, yet make bigger sales and get higher reviews.

I'd like to see another RPG come from Mistwalker personally, the guys who still know how to make a Final Fantasy type game ;) Sorry, I've personally hated most everything Square has done since FFX, don't get excited by their stuff any more, I'm old and set in my ways I guess (still like turned based the MOST in my

Wow, no crows or raven either, flip me over and call me fascinated... I'm coming for a visit. Well not visiting you don't panic, visiting the Netherlands.. Kinda one of the places I always wanted to visit anyways.

Yep, clueless (or rather, not careful with word choice given it's exposure for public consumption), but not malicious is how I'd take it too. I don't like how we jump all over people without giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I should be clear that (if in any regard) he has an attitude about the overall
