I don't know if the reviewer saw a slightly different cut than I did or just misremembered, but the movie does mention the murders of Whitman's mother, Margaret, and wife, Kathy, albeit only briefly; they are also the first two people listed among those to whom the film is dedicated.

Psst — Chilton pushed Gideon into thinking he was the Chesapeake Ripper (who is actually Lecter), not the Minnesota Shrike (that was Hobbs).

Oh man, I may have to buy this just for "The Clerk." That short is legitimately hilarious.

If and when Violet finds out what Tate did to Vivien, there had better be an EPIC throwdown.
