The unofficial exchange rates were extremely favorable in that era. So, perhaps AT is admitting that he did a little black market currency exchange on that trip.

I did like the turn at the end, but it does essentially make the story a role reversal of "conventionally successful dad accepts free spirit son for who he is".

Orange is the New Black seems to be a refuge for talented actresses who should be getting a lot more work. Maybe she should try for that.

Any complex human emotion you see in a Kryptonian is just wishful anthropomorphization.

I think that that's a dream that Artie could have, if he remembers being able to walk. So in that sense, it's perfectly realistic.

His actions were understandable, but not that reasonable for an astronaut, IMHO.

I think the robot's remarks are very inaccurate. It's not implausible that a science museum could have such a poor explanation, but I think the writers thought it was accurate (they weren't making a statement about museums). It's also important in education not to give misleading simplifications even if the full

It's kind of a weak target for humor, in my opinion. The artisinal thing can easily be carried too far, but I'm old enough to remember when decent beer, bread, cheese, or coffee were, in fact, difficult to find.

Well, key parts of it were laid out by Valen, who was just a human in Minbari drag, or course.

I suspect so.

The one thing they didn't get done was helping with the firefigting, which would have been crucial. But, babysitting/bonding with Delenn was more important, I guess.

True, but I did like that the implication that while Delenn and the religious caste teacher were very in to the sanctity of the lesson and the confronting of fear in a fair fight, the more pragmatic military cast guy taught him to kick ass on the sly, so that the outcome wouldn't really be in doubt.

One real dud line in that Delenn/Sheridan convo is when Delenn says "I've felt pity for him…but I never felt sorry for him before." Pity and feeling sorry for are close enough to the same thing that this line doesn't work at all.

People play Monopoly occasionally, but does anyone play with these fancy pants custom sets? Or are they just novelty gifts/dust collectors?

Those are among the darker of the muggle arts.

"abused tend to become abusers " I would rephrase that a little.

She was conveniently knocked out twice! in one episode. I don't think Rupert Giles even managed that.

Perfect Strangers meets Reds!

IIRC, Sopranos did address this issue eventually with some uncomfortable consversation at Dr. Melfi's dinner table.

This supposed nuance was entirely clear in the episode.
