It's always better when elves do their own random killing, IMHO.

"Michael's big combat set piece could have gone a lot better" Yes. Among other things, the "Powers" are dressed like Heaven's answer to American Gladiators. If you're already going with the conceit of metal swords, why not metal armor (and wings) as well?
Everything Legion attempted to do was done better in The Prophecy.
To defend Defiance a little, it's about peaceful coexistence as much as conflict. The backdrop to Dominion is straight up Manichean total war.
The difference being, the TV series was Whedon taking back the Buffy concept and doing it right.
Well, the ansiwer is Picard then. Clearly, it's Picard.
The CW has no shame about casting 30 year olds to play teenagers. The problem is, even at 30, those folks can't act.
I didn't claim they were equal, just that it's another item in the equation that people don't consider.
Yes, the median is the way to go for this, just like for incomes and home prices. The median is about $18,000, according to this:
The plausibility depends on two things.
"Fanwank" and "Nitpick" are common terms on AVClub, and to me they are venial sins that I myself would cop to on occasion. It was not my intent to belittle anyone.
I suppose that's possible though I think most joint dental practices are partnerships that require some form of buy-in. Certainly they treated each other more like partners than boss and employee. And Malvo's fake lifestyle was more like that of an established dentist and not someone just starting out.
I've been there too. It happens to us all. :-)
Please supply a link or reference for that assertion. I can't find one.
I get that its a useful shorthand for the audience, but as a plausible real world command, I still think it's nonsense. Given the number of people determined to fanwank it into plausibility, and nitpick to death my mere suggestion of an alternative, I guess the coolness factor of those two punchy words is even higher…
Just to be clear that upvote I just gave you is for you, not that passage. :-)
4%>1% always and forever. It is literally impossible for what you claimed to be true.
A crotchety old man rant about the good old days when Earth used to be number one would have been pretty hilarious.
Again, the Lannister's were never part of Robert's forces, they switched sides at the last possible moment. What the Lannisters did to the Targaryens was not his doing.
Huh? Robert had nothing to do with what happened to Elia Martell and her children. Even Jaime's Kingslayer bit was looked down on after the fact.
