There’s a scene in the movie “Bodyguard” where Kevin Costner takes Whitney Houston to a honky tonk and dances with her to John Doe’s version of “I Will Always Love You.” It runs neck and neck with Dolly’s original.

Did any other GenXer ever hear the urban legend that there was a nudity version of the Bowie China Girl video or was that just a local thing for me?

Sex and the City also did a very good final episode to the original run.

I knew a couple of people who were a few years behind them in high school in Marietta, GA (just outside Atlanta) who had a lot of similar stories.  Saw them at house parties and tiny venues, them bam - Shake Your Money Maker made them stars.

I lost track of them after Lions, but up to that, they were great.

Good lord, the comment sections on these kinja sites is getting worse and worse. Apparently loading 90 ads and trying to get me to the next article is preferable than the comments. I can’t even load most of these comments on my mobile device now. Something is going on and I don’t like it.
