Not quite what I meant, but thanks!

Lol, I feel you. I'm reading it for a class, is all. :) I just want to read a companion guide to it to get a more objective view, or at least a different view, than what I'll come up with, haha.
Thanks for being so helpful!
Island is great too, but it's a utopian (edit: a utopian? an utopian? lol the latter sounds odd). :)
Ape and Essence by Huxley is my favorite dystopian of his. It's really great.
I wouldn't tell them just yet. Tell them when it's absolutely necessary to, as in, enough time beforehand to take some time off (if you're going to).
Best companion book for Atlas Shrugged?
…what's adorable about it?
It's their official account, you can tell because it's got the verified stamp next to the handle.
When I was 13 about to turn 14 (& entering HS) a 26 y/o man came onto me, going so far as to kiss me. I was dumb and didn't know wtf I was thinking. Years later he apologized and also claimed he was in a dark place. Good for him. That doesn't excuse preying upon young kids/teens.
Patti didn't rape her son though, did she? She severely, sexually abused him, but I don't think she raped him.
You kind of already said it yourself, but grief and shock does shit to people like nothing else. She was already live tweeting about the incident. It's not like she wasn't, found out her husband had died, and then picked up her phone to tweet about it. Even if she had... her husband just died. She can do whatever she…
I'd say it's pretty normal. It's a very real fear, and a very real danger. My husband does a longer drive than that everyday to and from work. I don't make him call, he texts. I also text him when I arrive at the city bus stop, safely get on the bus, and safely make it in the front door (on my way home from classes).…
That's absolutely heartbreaking. :(
I just laughed. SO HARD.
I'm going to flaunt my foot right up someone's ass. /sigh
Lorde isn't FLAUNTING. Jesus Christ.
Haha, no worries!
The boxes are emoticons, but you might not be able to see them depending on what browser/phone/etc you're using. :)
It might have been a last resort. She could have gotten in trouble for not presenting it as an option had the little douches gone on and whined to administration anyway.
