Sounds like he fits right in with the Coutinho signing. Massive fee paid for a player who doesn’t *really* have an obvious fit in the team. Or, maybe, they’ll have to settle for having something less than Xavi/Busquets/Iniesta out on the pitch because, well, those 3 guys were special for a reason.

The issue is that their offers weren’t actually that big. If anything, they were insulting. Their last offer was for something like $17 mil upfront, with similar totals being paid over the next 4 years. Then, the $100whatever million offer it was reported as was dependent on ridiculous, never-going-to-happen things…
