@wake1080: Agreed. That's the negative of Neoprene, it doesn't breathe or wick away moisture. If your hands start to sweat, the moisture will get stuck between the fleece layer and the Neoprene, which will deteriorate the insulation properties and could actually make your hands colder. I would only recommend these if

@Claytons: Thanks for the tips! Yup, my major reservation about the AeroPress was how small it is and how it seems more like a travel gadget. I'll probably try a French press first, or, if I find $70 laying on the ground I'd try the Zojirushi Zutto you recommended!

I really would like to be into coffee, like everyone else in this thread, but I've never gotten around to it. All the nifty gadgets, techniques, all the different flavors and the general worldwide history behind coffee intrigues me. Yet, then there are the people who take it too far, and all the articles about health

I haven't upgraded my Jailbroken G1 iPod Touch since 1.1.4. How do I get up to speed with, at least, firmware v2.2?

Awesome. I'm going to put this on my PC at work here. This, combined with my icon-less desktop thanks to Launchy, will totally confuse and disorient anyone who tries to use my computer. All that would be left would be for me to change my keyboard layout to dvorak and I'll be set.

This works some of the time. If you cut too deep, or the sticker is too strong, you'll end up tearing off the top layer of cardboard and exposing the corrugation on the inside, which I believe compromises the structural integrity of the box. Either way, the condition in which most of my boxes are delivered renders

@kflott: I agree. I've had 1&1 for over 5 years. Never had a problem hosting my personal sites, blogs and portfolios. They've got a well rounded control panel with tons of free addons and stuff too.

This can work in the business world too. This reminds me of a good article by 37Signals called 'Hire' the right clients". Unfortunately, I keep having to try to remind my boss of this because he tends to take on ALL the clients and jobs that come in, especially now that he's all freaked out about getting as much

@Xanderificus: Didn't work, said that there wasn't enough space to defrag. I even disabled, formatted the partition, then re-enabled the page file, and it is fragmented the instant it is created. I guess that's what I get for listening to the suggestions that one's pagefile should be located on its own partition on a

@Phoshi: Tried that. No worky. Maybe it has something to do with the size of my pagefile versus the size of the partition? The partition is 1.95GB and my pagefile is 1.51GB, if that is any help to anyone wishing to dish out advice.

Question: I've got my Windows XP pagefile on its own partition on a non-system harddrive, but for some reason it is still fragmented into 2 big chunks. Whenever I go to defragment that partition, Windows defrag utility can't because the pagefile is an "unmovable" file. Whats up with that and is there anything I can do

@walrusim: I agree. The data for Naperville, IL makes no sense, but the data for neighboring Glen Ellyn seems believable, at least for the bare minimum. I don't know where they suppose 2 adults in Naperville could find housing for $391/month, unless they are suggesting you live in the local homeless shelter or library

@Jackson West: To tell the truth, I also had to find "postulation" in a Thesaurus. :)

@Gina Trapani: The kind who assumes that their readers have no idea what the word "remunerate" means, forcing them to look it up in an online dictionary... which, in my case, was an applicable postulation.

I just had an idea (there's a first for everything): They should incorporate these bubble levels into power drills, at least on 2 axis. I'm always worried that I'm drilling a hole that is not straight into the piece of wood and/or wall and/or metal and/or skull.

@LaurenAnteater: Funny you should mention that, since they actually sell an "Observer's Eyepatch" aimed toward astronomers! It makes sense: use your unpatched eye to read starcharts and point your scope, then only use the patched eye while viewing through the eyepiece! To be truly serious about this hobby, you have to

I was hoping this would have a direct affect on the light-gathering power of your eyes, but the article seems to be merely about the cosmetic and psychological effects of pupil size.

I've got an alternative: GetRichSlowly recently mentioned the Car Talk Auto Advisor. I wen't through it and I think it works pretty well... and I'm glad the Volvo C30 ended up in my top-5, further justifying my obsession with the car.

I should try the pen and paper approach. I set up a Lifetick account when LH first introduced it, set up a few goals, but haven't logged back in since. Its far too easy to avoid a web interface for these kinds of things.

Whaaaaaa? Macs have vulnerabilities to plug and bugs to fix? I thought they were invincible!
