It’s the reason I went with the minimax ZR2, even though EPA mileage ratings for it are bizarrely low.  Real world reports show it pretty easily gets mid 20's in town and close to 30 or even over on the highway, depending on how you drive.

My damn truck is sitting in a parking lot in Missouri probably waiting for some of those chips.

<sigh>

The average price of diesel just hit a new record for a third consecutive day.

Ignoring the car part of the rule, one of these:

There’s nothing faster than a rental car.

I was curious as well, so had to look it up.  Sounds like it just allows the supercharger to start building a little bit of boost (1-3psi) at launch.

Sold my SS 1LE to Vroom about a year ago. Had some issues scheduling the transport but the one that showed up got me a bill of lading plus I took pics and video of the car being loaded. Vroom had the money in my account before the car was even delivered.

Fresh fluid available at your local grocery store

I know the emissions systems in diesels run an regen cycle that will basically dump extra fuel and raise temps in the DPF to burn all the soot into ash, which cleans out the filter. It’s based on sensors that monitor flow through the DPF system. I’d imagine it would be the same for GPF.

The closest comparison I can think of is the Euro Mustang V8 stayed at 435hp when the ‘Merican version was bumped to 460hp, with Ford giving one of the reasons as the GPF.

Neutral: My ZR2 has taken about a month to go from order accepted to rolling off the assembly line. Sounds like the real wait is going to be shipping, as logistics everywhere are in shambles. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long to get from Missouri to Minnesota.

Any time I can get out to the Rockies in Colorado.

I almost replaced mine with a newer Xterra, but after 9 years I’m ready for something different. When I was originally shopping for the X, I checked out some FJ’s but just not a retro styling taking a priority over functionality. Interior on those was just crazy small. Plus, Toyota tax.

I went from a ‘99 XJ to a 2010 Xterra. Loved the XJ, but I love the Xterra more. Perfect size for an SUV, very capable off road. Terrible gas mileage. Decided it was time for something new and settled on a ZR2 extended cab with the babymax 2.8l diesel. Seems they pretty easily get 20+ mpg mixed and close to 30 or

It’s a fact that these people are idiots, not an opinion.

No, I do not want to drive that.

I’m guessing EMT conduit.

Big, fast pickups are dumb, but the fact that GM hasn’t dropped the LT4 into a Silverado is just criminal.

With the exhaust system my dad’s had, along with some type of engine mapping, it was supposed to make 650hp. It also had a fresh set of pilot sport cup 2s in 335 rear tires and had so much grip I could literally full throttle in first gear and it would hook up. Agree with the post here that it probably had old tires
