Damn, never heard that one before.

It doesn’t get parked on the street anyways.  My daily driver has unmodified lights (but it’s lifted and has bigger tires than factory.. which, if these replies are anything to go by, means I’ll roll over a group of school children and their box of kittens)

I removed all the reflectors on my bicycle too!  Let’s go do hoodlum stuff together

That’s just like, your opinion man

2nd / toy car.  It doesn’t get parked on the street

Taillights aren’t tinted.  They still light up at night, remember?  Doesn’t get parked on the street, anyways.

I blacked out the rear reflectors, the reverse light part of the taillights, and did tinted side markers. Why? Because it’s my car and I prefer the way it looks.

Xterra all the way

2nd gen Xterra prices have been creeping up, but nowhere near Toyota tax levels yet.

Don’t think you can get the manual with the ‘Squatch package.

Very cool!  I work with industrial hydraulics / pneumatics.. not quite as exciting as this application.

That’s... really bad.  For desert running I guess it doesn’t matter much, but there’s gonna be some sad folks who take ‘em on the rocks and munch the expensive shocks.

They need to split the middle and just put the LT1 in a Colorado ZR2.

Do yourself a favor and drive a Camaro SS 1LE.  It’ll stomp all over a CTR.

We were passed by an older sedan (can’t even remember the kind, definitely not a ‘sporty’ one, though) with a family and their dog.  Dude was giving it the beans.

It seriously does.  After 8 years of living in my house I can’t figure out where at least half of the crap that’s taking up space actually came from.

That front skid plate looks like it took quite a beating and is still pretty straight. Good sign for a factory setup, usually the skid plates aren’t much better than sheet metal.

One of the largest power units I work on regularly has a pair of 300hp electric motors, they make a pretty decent whine while starting up.  Haven’t had the chance to be around too many of the 1000+ hp electric units.

I would assume because of older engine - newer car. Usually the newer engine - older car swaps work as long as the new emissions equipment is kept. But an older engine in a new car wouldn’t necessarily meet the emissions standards that were around when the car was built.

Yeah, those turbos spinning away under the hood are a little worrying, especially if you’re planning on crawling all day at <10mph.  I like NA engines for that stuff.  Hopefully the cooling system is up to snuff.  The temp gauge doesn’t budge during a full day of crawling in my Xterra.
