I liked the Paystar until I got to Russia.  Got the Tayga 6436 and it’s now my new favorite truck.  That and the Azov 64131.

I like it. Plus a 3 litre turbodiesel? Gimme now.

The other reason is the MT82 has no provisions for an external oil cooling setup. The TR3160 has a pump and plumbing to run a cooler.  Easier for Ford to use an existing transmission than have the MT82 redesigned.

I’d guess it was not their daily driver. If you want to keep it rust free up here in MN it means it goes in to the garage usually by November and doesn’t come out until after the first good rain, usually sometime in April.

Super duty with the Cosworth 16 valve head begs to differ

2wd because 4h / awd is best for getting moving. And if it’s snowing so heavy that you think you need awd, you should probably not be doing ‘high speed interstate driving’.

My old ‘99 XJ had the NP242 transfer case with the full-time 4wd option, and if I remember right had u-joints at the axles.

Good to hear.  It’s definitely more on the arcadey / quirky side when it comes to vehicle handling and physics.

Damn that’s a good price. What area? I’m looking for an extended cab which makes it a bit tougher.

I’ve had no issues over 7 years of MN winters with my Xterra and 4 high in the snow.  Yeah, you have to be mindful of taking it out of 4H when the roads dry up, but I’ve found twisting a knob isn’t too difficult.

I’m just hoping they do something like Chevy has with ZR2 - full tilt Bison edition to compete with the Rubi @ 50k, but ZR2 still has all the good off road bits (lockers, lift, etc) for 40k.

Although it’s not a heavy use case for me, there’s times I’ll load up the canoe on the roof and mountain bikes on the hitch rack. Topper + a rack adds anywhere from $1500-3000 depending on options. Not necessarily a huge deal when talking about a $40k truck but still..

If this comes in around the 40-45k mark with all the off-road goodies, it’ll probably be my next vehicle. But I’m afraid it’ll be priced more in the Rubicon territory of 50k+.

Just a heads up - they released a patch 2 days ago that mucked up the graphics for the PS4 version. They’re working on getting it fixed. It’s still playable, but from what I’ve read they went a bit too aggressive on the graphics optimization and detail in the game world took a hit.

GT350 gets the TR-3160, lower torque rating.

That Callaway C7 is a sexy beast. Glad I got to see it run on the ‘Ring GP circuit last year

I want that picture on a shirt

Haven’t played since the patch but from what I’ve heard they didn’t do a very good job testing it.

I threw together a window net with some netting, magnet strips and hot glue. Worked well enough.  Not worried about magnets on the paint because I have enough trail pinstriping as it is.  Makes sleeping in the back much more bearable.  Unless a bear finds you.

Or maybe you’d be an idiot driver for not being in control of a 2 ton vehicle and allowing it to hit someone standing at the side of the road?
