Starting at 62k? So rebated to 50-55k within a year.. if it handles properly I think I found my next track car

I was tempted to pick up one but decided on a SS 1LE for a track car with a warranty.
4-5 ugga-duggas. any more is obviously too tight.
Inexpensive beam-style torque wrench, extension and lug socket stay in my track day bin. Check the lug nuts when I get there and after every session.
I want something to replace my Xterra that’s not a 4runner..
This. I want the Rubicon running gear, but with a basic interior and steelies.
I was at the local auto show here a few weeks ago, Nissan had a Frontier stuffed away in the corner. Pro-4x, had no idea they sticker’d at 35k still! I know it’s running on an almost 15 year old platform but I’m plenty happy with my 2010 Xterra, and most of the suspension / engine upgrades I’ve done would swap right…
Xterra - put it in park, slide some cardboard under it, position drain pan and pull drain plug. While draining remove access cover on skid plate to get at filter. Clean drain plug, reinstall. Move drain pan under filter, remove and replace filter. Bolt access cover back up and fill with nice new oil.
Forward mount side pipes need to be more of a thing
Steam's pretty reliable, actually.
I mean.. they did it on the Fiero, and shift feel was pretty good on the getrag equipped cars. Pretty sure they could figure it out on the new halo car if they wanted to.
I have not! There goes my work productivity for the day..
They’ve been annoying for a while now.
I thought the 3rd gen coyote bumped it up to just over 5.0?
So, basically this cooling system is equivalent to the Camaro ZL1, which was never plagued with the heat issues like the GT / PP2 / GT350. Hell, the base SS matches it, minus the intercoolers of course...
The more ‘common’ enthusiast cars get weird. I see it on the 6th gen Camaro forums - people think the car is rare and unique because it was 1 of 66 built with that particular set of options. Even funnier when they include dealer installed options. Then there’s the GT350 crowd worried about ‘numbers matching’ engine…
I’m biased but.. Camaro SS 1LE and take the 30k savings to put towards track days and consumables.
That’s my current plan of action here in MN. I crunched the front plate holder on my Xterra a year and a half ago and haven’t replaced it yet. No front plate on my 1LE since I picked it up last spring. Haven’t been pulled over in either one... yet.
