Same here. Daily driver is an automatic. Have the fun manual car when I want to make rush hour really annoying, or the motorcycle when I feel like torturing myself in traffic.

Just remember, GM bad
Highway cruising in my Camaro (60-65mph) I’ll get 30-32mpg..
100k? If I was dropping that kind of cash on a Maserati it would be a proper car. Apparently I’m in the minority. One car that does everything means it does all of those things in an average fashion.
Cost. And a lot of manufacturers just use the traction / stability control to fake an LSD by applying the brake on the spinning wheel.
Older vettes had fiberglass body panels. I think even the C7 still uses a fiberglass composite for the body.
MN lifer here - haven’t heard snownuts before but I’m stealing it.
They are. Let’s be honest, this will go anywhere that those bros with the ‘battle wagon’ subarus will go. Hell, it’ll go anywhere that 99% of the pimped-out Jeeps, brodozers and TRDs will go - which is to say, mall parking lots and the occasional gravel road.
Wish there was something similar in my 1LE.. as it is, the car reverts back to ‘tour’ mode if it’s turned off in track or any of the PTM modes. Not a big deal unless I’m actually at a track day. Need to remember to scroll down to track mode -> double click TC button to get into PTM -> choose PTM mode
I was just a hair too tall to comfortably sleep in back, so I built a platform that’s the same height as the front passenger seat when it’s folded flat, and the pillow goes there. Gave me plenty of room. Plus, the drawers are super handy for the stuff that comes along with every trip - basically anything I can fit…
I would say it’s more the ‘big chunky tires’. These Jeep / Brodozer guys think the big mud tires they put on have the best traction no matter what, when in reality they’re worse than an all-season on the ice / snow.
Some manufacturers build that function into their TC systems. My Xterra will individually apply brakes to a spinning drive wheel. Nissan calls it ABLS (active brake limited slip)
28k?! That’s basically new. Mine’s a 2010 that just hit 170k and still going (mostly) strong. I’ll probably do a big engine service sometime over the summer - timing chain / water pump / cats / other misc stuff.
Torque (lb/ft) = (HP*5252)/RPM
The B line on the light rail through Minneapolis actually cracked this morning..
#2 is why I rarely stop to pull people out of ditches in the winter. I have a fairly capable 4x4 and always carry a tow strap, but I’ve heard too many horror stories of people getting sued after pulling someone out.
I know it’s a matter of time - hence the ‘yet’ in my statement. I recieved a warning years ago on a beater car I had that the front plate holder was busted on. Ended up just screwing the plate straight into the bumper..
