#2 is why I rarely stop to pull people out of ditches in the winter. I have a fairly capable 4x4 and always carry a tow strap, but I’ve heard too many horror stories of people getting sued after pulling someone out.
I know it’s a matter of time - hence the ‘yet’ in my statement. I recieved a warning years ago on a beater car I had that the front plate holder was busted on. Ended up just screwing the plate straight into the bumper..
There’s dimples to show you where to drill, at least on my car. No premade holes.
I helped my buddy in NE MPLS pull the engine out of his YJ yesterday.. which is in his unheated garage. Insulated Carharts, good boots, good gloves and you’re golden.
Not sure if that’s intended to be an insult or a compliment.. never watched the guy.
The only new car I’ve purchased was still in transit to the dealer at the time. I asked them to not install anything, don’t even detail it. Luckily, they listened. No badges, no front plate mount. Hell, they didn’t even drill the holes to mount the rear plate.
Because that key doesn’t disable government mandated safety systems?
As an SS 1LE owner who takes it to the track, this is a bit worrying.. with that being said, it did look like a pretty good impact. I can see why the system deployed, sliding sideways with a bounce like that. He could pull the PDR data and get pretty detailed telemetry.
Well, the story I’ve heard about the ZR1 at VIR is that GM was that they were doing a 24 hour endurance test and just happened to break the record Ford had set the week before..
This s209 costs more than my SS 1LE..
DCTC? Been meaning to get out there on one of their track days
