I understand the trepidation, but to be fair we should probably assume that at least the majority of those shootings are justified. Not a fair comparison to school shooters. And no, it’s not a perfect solution, but it seems like a first step that everyone can agree with, more or less.

We’re not dealing with an arms race here. If you desperately want guns in schools, look to local police departments to patrol and supplement security in schools.
