I really have nothing to say about this other than I love how the title has gone from “Road Rules All Stars” to “Real World/Road Rules Challenge” to just “The Challenge” as now their primary audience wasn’t even born yet during the heyday of either show.
What a great article about how someone can have a variety of complex, nuanced—and, most importantly—evolving viewpoints about not just a divisive topic, but all the sexist/misogynistic baggage around that character. Thank you for writing this.
The moment you realize that Pokemon have better healthcare than most people in America and its free.
I’m all for streaming, but this dude makes me feel old as fuck. I’m a bit stunned that Gen Z’ers are a big fan of a dude who has the same views on woman as Mike fuckin’ Pence.
The phrase “familiarity breeds contempt” comes to mind. At this point it seems both performer and the audience are growing sick of each other. There’s a reason why athletes and actors have off seasons and breaks. Because constantly being “on” isn’t really good.
Ah, the movie theater nap. One of the best naps IMO
Other good naps:
- “Long ride on a half-empty bus” nap
- “2nd Quarter of mid-afternoon NFL game” nap
- “Got off early from work and napped until exactly when I would have gotten home” nap

I still love FF IX, and I play it probably once every couple of years.
...I…
Huh. When I was a kid, I used to read the FFVII Prima guide like a novel. I used to love getting the strategy guide for a game - it felt like I was being let in on a secret extra layer of the world I was running around in.
“Unpopular” doesn’t win elections. Grabbing power and abusing it wins elections. Is this ideal? No. Is it reality? Yes.
Any Democrat who uses the word “bipartisanship” needs to be politely escorted from the building and cordially asked to never return.
It’s easy to say “what’s the big deal” when talking about Game & Watch fire attack in the abstract, but its operating in several real world contexts, including centuries of genocide, oppression, and ongoing discrimination against indigenous people. For just as long, stereotypes have been used to denigrate and deny…
Nothing is amiss and the answer is pretty simple: this is Emily’s first weekend blogging for us and she’s still learning. She’s great and I’m thrilled she’s here. Give her a bit to figure it out!
To be fair, America has always been like this. As well as the rest of the world. Throughout history.
