I was going to say the same thing. And I had no idea that Fantastic Damage was hard to come by because I got it on eMusic ten years ago.

My all time favorite too. Although Season Two of The Expanse is starting to fill that Viper-shaped hole in my soul.
aw man. i was really enjoying reliving my favorite show of all time every week.
It's Macbeth. Not MacBeth. It's right there on the title page, folks!
also: "Those who love Zeppelin will soon betray Floyd/I cast off these couplets in honor of the void"
"It's not a war until someone loses an eye."
What a strange list. That said, two of my favorite bands of any decade are Runners-Up: The New Pornographers & Ted Leo and the Pharmacists.
In defense of "Electric Version": It's the drums.
1. "Sing Me Spanish Techno"
2. "Mass Romantic"
3. "The Laws Have Changed"
4. "War on the East Coast"
5. "Challengers"
6. "Crash Years"
7. "The Bleeding Heart Show"
8. "Myriad Harbour"
9. "All the Things That Go to Make Heaven and Earth"
10. "Fantasy Fools"
i leave you with four words: WAUUUUUGH!
i attended NYU in the late 80's and my girlfriend at the time lived in a women's-only hotel. i was not allowed upstairs and never actually saw her room.
Pants. https://www.youtube.com/wat…
I'm so ridiculously happy that I am able to witness Tina Weymouth's fantastic bass work without that hate crime of a pantsuit she wears in Stop Making Sense.
if "Together" is one of your top NP albums then I heartily recommend "Challengers"….one of the reasons why "Together" doesn't ring my bell as much (although "Crash Years" is in my list of top NP tracks) is that it seems to follow the "Challengers" playbook both in execution and in tonal sensibility which all added up…
for me, New Pornographers are THE band of the last decade and a half and BB is tied with "Twin Cinemas" for my favorite album of theirs. but honestly I'd go to bat for any of them except maybe "Together" so maybe I'm compromised. still kind of strange to have an album that I enjoyed so enthusiastically not crack any…
I'm just going to assume that the AV Club never got their copy of "Brill Bruisers" because that's the only way I can accept its virtual absence from these lists.
what a savings….
Arnim Zola. Not Armin.
xo
That Guy
liked for making me feel not so alone and sad for playing Puzzle Quest.
I could get on board with Dormer. If, um, you know what I mean.
Yvonne Strahovski is an acceptable, oft-mentioned choice too. but Katee totally has my number. yeah…my number.
daaaaang. was Kevin Feige looking over my shoulder in junior high when I was doodling on the inside cover of my Trapper Keeper? this shit has made me so so very happy.
Katee Sackhoff = Carol Danvers. now now now.
