By that argument half the characters in BvS don’t need attention because we know them so well.

BTW, knowing someone who saw it last night the cameos by Aquaman and Flash are barely there teases. So stuff creating things to be upset at.

Considering we’ve had one film from the shared DC Universe so far its really hard to judge that. I think Marvel has simply produced a consistent string of entertainment, although repetitive, films and they get credit for things that aren’t actually a big deal.

I can tell you exactly what the case is . . . Zack Snyder. There is an inbred dislike for Snyder on io9. Couple that with the fact that Marvel has a particular tone that’s popular . . . meaning that some people are incapable of accepting a different tone for other properties.
