Same here. Whatever else PJ and Sruthi did and/or didn’t do, they were an integral part of the show for me. Like Reply All was a little family that lost half its members a year ago.

That’s totally part of why I find this so weird; her actual pr approach was so opaque most people didn’t know who she was or what she was advertising. It was the “wtf is this even about?” that made her an “icon.” It’s weird to be characterizing that as something to celebrate.

Makes sense. I loved the podcast but I stopped listening very shortly after PJ left, and I’d imagine I’m not alone. None of that later pods captured the casual vibe that made the earlier eps so much fun.

Even despite the effusive review here, I’m still raising a doubtful eyebrow at this. When I lived in LA, Angelyne (imo) represented the worst side of the entertainment industry, and in a city of dream-it-be-it status chasers and image worshippers, she was *the* golden calf.

A common tactic of the angry populists from the right and the perturbed fanatics on the left is to derail discussion of topics that may criticize their habits. This is mostly accomplished through threats to corporate bottom lines and public disinfo campaigns.

I mean, Bungie wasn’t the one that created those names, and no filter is ironclad. It would be another story if they don’t take any action after you reported it.

I think maybe they should have given Rian Johnson one of these ... solo films first, it would have been better than shoehorning him into the constraints of something set up for him previously by JJ Abrams.
