While I wasn’t expecting that, it would have more sense if that had been the post-credit scene as that can at least somehow work with the utter lack of character development over the film.

I wasn’t expecting exactly her taking over the organization, but rather Julia Louis-Dreyfuss showing up again to recruit her.

As I literally just came home from watching this film, I’m just going to put this reaction here. It is a personal opinion and I’m not arguing this as some grand truth, in fact based on AV Club’s general commentary so far I assume I will be in the minority with this which is fine.

Bee benefits from a fundamentally unfair and racist school policy. That wasn’t debunked, that’s the reality of where she sends her kids to school.

While she’s not wrong, it’s kind of tough to take any sort of sermonizing about schools failing minorities from Samantha Bee considering her outstanding effort to make sure NYC schools keep failing minorities.

“I agree with this but it isn’t funny” is a pretty good summation of comedy today.

I honestly was just going to say, “Oh come now, she can’t be any more awkward and slightly embarrassing then John Oliver.” Then I watched and... I’m not sure if her jokes are worse or just that them being delivered like 3 times as often just makes them less bearable, but damn...

I LIKE both John Oliver and Sam Bee, but

I agree with everything she’s saying but my God she needs some new writers.  Every single one of her jokes just lands with a thud.

When you ask yourself the question, “Could this somehow be offensive to Black people”? and the answer is yes, or even maybe, then it is a bad idea.

This can be said for any company trying to use it. No matter what it's a sales pitch or ad.

Trump’s platform was set in stone regardless of Kanye’s participation in a way DaBaby’s and (especially) Manson’s are not, and Kanye’s support of them is a hell of a lot more idiosyncratic than support of Trump, in addition to being a much more recent development that hasn’t yet been gone over with a fine-tooth comb.

Excuse me, the Amber Ruffin thread is over there -> -> ->

Do you view everything in the world through a racist lens like this?

Both? He was reportedly abusive to his employees. Not hard to believe he was abusive to her too. I think that last sentence is key. It’s not an excuse for her business decisions.

Donda is a bunch of Target bonus tracks someone accidentally released as an album.

Maybe he’s just trying to get out ahead of the fact that the album sounds bad.

Also, wouldn’t the fact that he was fleeing from an officer itself be a crime that Peralta would have been within his legal right to arrest him for even if the charges he was investigating didn’t pan out?

Maybe I don’t remember everything; but Judy is just a car thief; I don’t remember him being a killer or anything. Besides last season established he was “reformed”; so should he actually go to jail? I think that’s a nice subversion of the cop show trope; which is what they’re going for this season; and to me that

Seriously, that movie isn’t talked about enough. It’s a perfect movie. Simply amazing.

Did she finally fire her creepy, horrible father/manager who tanked her promising career???
