That’s him alright !

Mid/late 90s Marvel comics are generally awful but I like that X-Men storyline (which doesn’t really go anywhere but that’s another issue) shows JJJ is a good journalist as long as Spider-Man isn’t involved.

My favorite not-villainous JJJ was in DAREDEVIL BORN AGAIN (Miller-Mazzuchelli):

I resent the idea of calling J Jonah Jameson a villain… his character is a lot more complex than that.

I kid you not, Alex Jones totally had a Jean-Claude Van Damme thing going on when he was younger.

Isn’t that shady government official Bastian aka Nimrod, a suped up version of a Sentinel?

He’s just a fun-loving guy, at heart.

revealing his identity to Jonah (again) was a bad move.  The “fun” to be had with something like that has run its course.  Erase his memory already.

You know, I actually started with Alex Jones, but changed it. I don’t really know what role The Bugle takes in the comics, but I always had impression it was like The Post. And while neither Fox News nor The Post are journalism in any real sense of the word, they are still a half step above Red Hulk

Isn't it more Alex Jones?

I mean, some people *were* actively threatening the character’s voice actor and the devs. There’s a difference between good-faith criticism (which the director touches on in the interview) and over-the-top reactions that flatten nuance or breach into threats of harassment or worse. Maybe I’m misreading your comment,

I think they should have gone with the Frank Castle Cosmic Ghost Rider! I was just... never a fan of the Johnny Blaze GR.

It does not include traffickers.

You’re right that there’s nothing wrong with criticism.

Y’all will think I’m nuts, but I’m excited for The Merovingian to come back. He’s the only character with a personality and who shares his personal philosophy rather than generic platitudes. “Here’s how I see the world...” and all that.

I’m not against criticizing, I’m against the insanity that causes folks who are mad at a game that didn’t warn them about threatening behavior to react by...threatening people.

It’s almost like having any kind of connection to Bruce Banner is bad luck. (with a high chance of some kind of Gamma induced mutation)

Aside from the tropes of that and previous decades, colors in comics and print at the time was extremely limited.

Definitely a Goya homage!

Not just that, he’s following through on the solution he came up with before he had infinite power. When he was just a marauder killing off half the people on the planets he conquered, doubling the resources wasn’t an option. Using the gauntlet to increase resources would mean he was wrong to cull all those other
