Yeah. At some point during the disintegration montage at the end of the film, it became obvious to me that these deaths were going to get reversed in the sequel. But that didn’t take away the sting of the subsequent deaths. Even knowing in my head that Peter Parker would return, his anguished crumbling into dust still

I’ve always been more in the X-Men wing when it comes to actual Marvel Comics, and death there is even more of a revolving door than regular Marvel, so hard same.

Although it’s hard to get around how fucking stupid movie Thanos is:

As loud as the coverage got it was only a matter of time. Still surprised it happened so quickly. And now they’re reverting to guest hosts again? Just give it to one of the hosts you already had. Some were actually good.

Although I’ve enjoyed telling people who ask that question that in the comic, the Snap was the first thing that happened and none of the heroes had the slightest fucking idea what was going on.

When the movie came out, people in the office were talking about it. One of them was talking about how angry the ending made her because of all the characters she liked turning to dust. She looked at me, knowing that I read comics, and asked, “Didn’t it make you angry?” No, I’d already been on this roller coaster 20

I’ve always loved Thanos Quest/Infinity Gauntlet/Stalin’s Silver Surfer run. It’s a fucking blast.

Naaah... it’s this fella:

It’s always kind of weird when people who are incredibly devoted to Roddenberry’s vision focus exclusively on the period right before his death. TOS, which is the series whose success he can claim the most direct responsibility for, features temperamental Bones, arrogant Spock, and a raft of dickhead admirals.

Ron

Honestly, I thought you were kidding until I looked it up on Memory Alpha. Jesus Christ...

And in Platinum you don’t even need Strength to access it. I got to Victory Road wondering where tf Gible was, only to realize I passed that spot long ago. Dammit.

Is it Saturn’s moon Titan, or some other moon coincidentally named Titan?

To be fair I’m pretty sure Thanos’ brother Eros would be a higher priority what with him having the power of mind controlling the pleasure centers of the brain…

And aren’t they also kind of Inhumans, take 3?

That is amazing!

True but they could have at least made the deviants look more Kirby inspired.

Those are just the Deviant’s “attack dog” type creatures. The only actual Deviant they showed was the one that was talking to Thena and lifting her off the ground with his tendrils. I’m assuming that’s Kro as that’s the only specific Deviant that has been mentioned as being in the movie.

and surely you have plenty of screencaps right

“I have to go now. My not-home planet needs me.”
