I’m sorry but how is getting hate mobbed on Twitter as bad as getting stoned? Celebrities  have gotten hate mail well before social media. Equating it with regressing to the point of being stoned and treated worse than sex workers is hyperbole and a false equivalence.

It’s more of a nitpick. I feel like the premise of only the dogs speaking English and the humans speaking Japanese is a strong enough premise that you could excise all of the English-speaking humans and the movie could still be understandable with few if any subtitles.

I have issues with Isle of Dogs. Mainly the fact that the American exchange student, the only white character in the movie, has her own subplot that feels superfluous to what’s going on. Like, her only function in the plot is to deliver exposition the audience has already figured out by then. You could excise her

Seriously even now I’m seeing at least a few people on here acting like actors are the “most oppressed”.

Hyperbole much?

Yeah he’s a troll and hater who I reported a couple times and got obsessed with me and stalks my comments. He makes new burners every couple months to harass me and ONE PUNCH. This one he cooked up after I criticized South Park last week.

Also, there’s plenty of heroes in the DCU who could take on Superman if “What if Superman Bad?” happened. Both Shazam and Martian Manhunter are just as strong as Superman and Supes is vulnerable to magic and the DCU has a pretty robust magic community including Shazam.

I could see Superman being an antagonist in a Suicide Squad movie in the sense that he’s opposing the protagonists. Kind of like how Sam Wilson was a minor antagonist in Ant Man. But I feel like that sort of thing would work better when the DCEU establishes Superman as a character first.

Yeah he shows up in the Robin episode and as pal of the JL to send Ivy to the Phantom Zone but he isn’t really an antagonist.

I seriously am tired of “What if Superman were Evil?”. It’s been so overused at this point for the past decade that the idea of Superman played straight seems more like a genuine subversion.

Love his new username. He apparently cooked it up because he’s butthurt I criticized a cartoon he likes…

I just know in my gut that they’d probably use BWL at some point.

You acted like Rian Johnson molested you…

Yeah I don’t really respect Lindsay anymore ever since she’s basically running a “Cancel Culture” grift.

Well there’s “Nimrod”, it became a synonym for someone foolish due to a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Bugs called Elmer a “Nimrod” in a sarcastic reference to the biblical hunter and people who didn’t know any better just assumed Nimrod was an insult.

What was leaving open their doors meant to accomplish? Would she know or was it on the honor system? Trans Kid’s dad closed the door and it didn’t seem to effect things IIRC so it seems Marling just did because it’s pretentious nonsense.

I misspoke, it was more like the plot rewarded him with a girlfriend because Brit Marling’s character felt bad for him inexplicably.

Yeah I watched the first season of Brit Marling’s Interpretive Dance Cult and I just did not care about any of the characters save for the teacher, who was the only one who had an arc.

They kind of just omitted the fact she was a Nazi, everyone called the TERF out, and than she put her account to private.

You realize that the Pinkertons are still around right? A movie like this is great for the brand image of an organization who’s job is to uphold the business interests of the wealthy and whitewash all the horrible shit they’ve done and they’ll re-brand themselves as “woke” for hiring a girlboss.
