Please Please PLEASE don't take this advice. I have worked in the financial industry for about 10 years at this point (worked my way through college at a bank). I started in a branch and now work in commercial real estate (still in a bank, I'm on the credit side). I can tell you that unless your student loans are

+1 on the cheap berad knife.

I'd also say the iPad could be in landscape mode...hence the "not seeing a home button" debacle.

I'll start by saying I agree with your sentiment...BUT!

I'm redesigning my business cards. It's going to be a blank white business card with the following information spaced evenly from top to bottom:

I was reading your comment and getting excited.

I've seen a couple of these lately, and they kind of confuse me...only because I think I remember seeing an article on lifehacker (or gizmodo) once in the past that said it was important to *not* cool down coffee quickly to make iced coffee because it sours.

I'm with you. I am incredibly excited about Vizio...I have a friend that bought a vizio 46" TV a few years ago, and I kind of laughed at him for buying generic. His picture quality, however, is no worse than my 46" Samsung, and I've been converted..

I don't know what these things cost, but I can see how one of these would come in handy for gamers that like to host LAN parties.

This works.

People will probably jump all over me for this, but reheating leftovers NOT in the microwave works TONS better. Especially for pastas with cream-based sauces. Ever find that your leftover fettuccini alfredo separates in the microwave? Doesn't seem to happen on the stove.

We did the same thing when I worked at a big-box store in HS a little over 10 years ago. But instead of paper, we used a bit of a plastic bag or receipt paper (which I guess *is* paper). Worked almost every time.

So I guess this is one way to add flash to your iPhone...

You know, I hear people say that kind of thing all of the time...and granted, I've only been to the UK once, but I've never had anyone cut in front of me as much as when I was in Bristol and London. Maybe everyone could somehow tell I was an American?

I was thinking the same exact thing. To combine this with the "rope lighting" tip a few weeks ago, except substituting LED strip lighting.

You know...As sad as it is to say this, I actually felt disappointment when I found out it was delayed (likely until after I go to bed or beyond). I had been looking forward to today's date for the comcast integration. I realize it's not as full-blown as I'd like it to be, but being that I refuse to pay a monthly fee

When it comes to microwave even-heating technology, boy how the tables have turned!

If you're just recording voice, I wouldn't worry too much about traffic "rumble." Many mics have a bass rolloff switch built in, and even if they don't, it's incredibly easy to do with an EQ. If it's choosing between recording when the creative juices are flowing and I'm feeling good or getting the "cleanest possible"

It's also worth noting that if you've taken any ProTools (offical, by a Digidesign certified school), you get a wicked good discount on Digidesign equipment (like a 002 or 003, but none of the HD rigs), which comes with ProTools LE.

If I were able to design a layout for my own company (depending on what the company did, obviously), I think I would want to design something with an open layout, but with some offices and a meeting room as well. I would experiment with the whole "no assigned seats" idea with central storage (clean up your workspace
