Can you imagine if we sold cars by weight?
I know someone who screwed himself over when he bought his house. He can’t work now due to a health issue and they are struggling to pay the mortgage on what his wife makes. So, his mom dies and he is the sole heir of her house. He sells the mom’s house for 2/3 of the mortgage on his own house. So, he pays down the…
Lovely plumage.
GFM accounts for millions upon millions of medical payments that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. https://www.forbes.com/sites/carolynmcclanahan/2018/08/13/using-gofundme-to-attack-health-care-costs/#3d5a4a2f2859
Seriously. Maybe sell the Hellcat to pay for your legal fees. Oh, wait, he’s probably upside-down on it and already spent the cash he got from the Youtube views.
There is just one.
GoFundMe is a pox on society. Who the fuck is giving this dipshit charity because he was caught in the act of multiple crimes? Why can’t he afford an attorney if he can afford a hellcat?
A Mercedes V12 in a 1973 Continental is a fetish I just discovered
Don’t forget to store it in a black shipping container in Phoenix for at least one summer.
but considering you’d have to de-mold the entire thing—and who knows what’s lurking in the HVAC system, let alone the state of the engine
Nope. You’d spend more than $4K attempting to get rid of the mold, and probably still wouldn’t get it all. That car would have to be stripped clean, and every inch of leather and fabric replaced. That’s bad enough, but then you’ve got a rusty dent on a compound curve. CP.
Ultimately, if they fail to live up their responsibilities under the arbitration clause, that may be grounds for a court to allow the drivers to file a lawsuit.
Why should your children and grandchildren continue to receive money from work done decades to a century ago? Get paid for your work, actually save some of that money and leave it as an inheritance to your kids. Nothing morally or ethically entitles them to more money for that work after you are dead.
Your kids did nothing to earn that; they can inherit whatever you didn’t need during your 15 years of fame. SG’s suggestion is solid and reflects the movement in the modern world much better.
Agreed. Disney is the biggest reason copyright law is the way it is. they need to fuck off and die.
As a copyright holder of 31 individual works, no. This is terrible. Life + 75 years means my family and their kids will reap the benefits of my hard work for a long time, and I am 100% onboard with this.
By that logic things like the X-men and Seinfeld would be public domain. That seems a little too loosey-goosey.
Copyright law needs to be dissolved and start over from scratch. It’s completely unmanageable now and doesn’t fit into the modern usage of intellectual property.
The EU’s plan is terrible because in practice it would fundamentally upend the way that copyright works, in effect, assuming that a a work isn’t new until the creator can prove otherwise. Someone say, uploading a YouTube video would need to prove that they weren’t infringing (by having it go through filters, possibly…
