I have a friend (64 years old) who loves Applebee’s and we go there now and then. It’s OK. Not great. Not bad. Just OK. (I almost said “fine” but realized that has alternate meanings in the restaurant universe.)

Counterpoint: it’s a great deal. $20 for a decent entree isn’t out of the question at most restaurants. And pizza can be a complete meal, with no sides needed. And unlike just buying and scarfing a whole pie with one set of toppings, I get to try 5 here. A nice variety.
